CREATING A CULTURE FOR SUCCESS

SEPTEMBER 27, 2023

"Culture builder" and "culture manager" are two of the most misunderstood roles of school leadership. Both are crucial to the success of any school and are highly interrelated. Change must inevitably happen, and as it does, the culture in a school is affected. Effective leaders must learn to manage change while keeping their eyes and actions focused on creating and embedding a positive culture for the entire school family. Attend this session to examine and better understand the role of change manager and culture builder. Leave with relevant research, surveys, and practical tools that will assist you in your leadership journey.

DEVELOPING THE RESILIENCE YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

JANUARY 25, 2024

The demanding job of the principal can sometimes lead to feelings of exhaustion, mentally and physically, creating difficulty in maintaining the enthusiasm needed for leadership. In this session, participants will gain understanding of several factors of personal resilience that move beyond apps, wellness programs, and perks.  Content will provide insight into how to build an anti-burnout strategy based on prevention, how to measure burnout, and ways to build resilience within the framework. Additionally, in this book-study format, participants will have an opportunity for full discussion time on each topic and strategy in a small group setting with colleagues.

RELATIONAL LEADERSHIP

MARCH 12, 2024

Strong leadership is the critical foundation of any school/district. It ensures goals are achieved on time, empowers individual staff and teachers, motivates teams to work together, and generates a vision for future growth. Yet, it can be very difficult to get established as an influential leader. This session is designed to help principals communicate more constructively by adjusting their behavioral style to meet the needs of others. As a result of participating, participants will learn how to better engage in constructive one-on-one conversations and, ultimately, build the rapport with colleagues necessary for effective leadership.
